Because Lichess and Chess.com publish your game history openly. ChessTilt reads the same public data anyone could see on your profile. It never asks for a password, never uses OAuth, and cannot log in, play moves or change anything on your account.

Check the spelling and make sure you picked the right site — a Chess.com username entered under Lichess will not resolve. Usernames are not case sensitive. If the site itself is having trouble or is rate-limiting, ChessTilt will say so rather than blaming your username; wait a minute and pull down to refresh.

Three things, all measured within your current session: a run of consecutive losses, a cluster of losses in your recent games, and rating bleeding away as the session goes on. Crossing one of your own limits is treated separately — going over your daily budget while winning is a discipline matter, not tilt, and the app words it very differently.

Yes. Add the second account from the Limits tab. Ratings are kept strictly separate — the two sites use different pools and comparing them would be meaningless. Your behavioural limits apply across both.

Bullet, blitz, rapid and classical. Chess variants such as Chess960, bughouse and king of the hill are deliberately excluded from rating calculations — they have separate rating pools, and mixing them in would produce nonsense rating changes and false tilt alerts.

It needs two things: notifications allowed for ChessTilt, and Background App Refresh enabled in iOS Settings. Low Power Mode also suspends background refresh. The app shows a warning in the Limits tab when either is switched off. When background time is never granted, the report simply arrives the next time you open the app.

Everything already downloaded stays visible and your limits keep working. Fetching new games obviously needs a connection — pull down on the Today tab to refresh once you are back online.

Disconnect the account in the Limits tab to erase its games and rating history, or delete the app to remove everything at once. There is no server copy — see the privacy policy.
